Yes, you can request a fire safety inspection by contacting us directly. We will assess your request and schedule an inspection at your convenience.
If you encounter a fire emergency, immediately evacuate the area and call 911 from a safe location. Make sure to provide the operator with your location and as much detail as possible about the emergency. Remember to stay low to the ground to avoid smoke inhalation and do not go back inside the building until you are given the all clear by emergency personnel.
The Marissa Fire Department is part of the BE ALARMED program, funded by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal and the Illinois Fire Service Association, which provides free 10-year sealed-battery smoke alarms to Illinois residents.
